Volvo Repair: heater core, heater core, v70r

Question
I have that coolant smell coming through the a/c with a bit of vapor. The heater core most likely needs to be replaced. What is the procedure for the removal and replacement of the heater core for a 1999 v70r awd.

Mark, It is possible but I have seen Evaporators give off that smell as well.  I would check the heater core by looking under the drivers panel and seeing if you see corrosion or any signs of leakage.  Its not exactly fun to do and I would need to know your skill level before I attempt to explain the procedure to you.  Roger
