Volvo Repair: 2000 Volvo S80 T6 Timing Belt, volvo s80 t6, timing belt tensioner

Question
Car has close to 130,000 miles.  Do you recommend proactively replacing timing belt, tensioner and water pump (recommended by repair shop) and idler pulley?  Have not had to do much to the car since 57,000.  Any other suggested proactive replacements?  Thanks!

Answer
Nick, that belt should have been done at the 105k service.  You are on Borrowed time if you dont change that not.  The water pump only needs to be replaced if its leaking but some people elect to have it done because everything has to come apart anyway. Regular services are a must.  You are doing the most important thing right now.  Roger
