Volvo Repair: 1997 volvo 850 wagon, volvo 850 wagon, volvo 850

My volvo starts and runs, idles rough. When you shut it off, it will crank, but not start again unless it has been sitting for a while. All wires, plugs, coil, cap/rotor are new. My mechanic cannot figure this out. Any Ideas? Thanks!

Tom, I have seen fuel pump issues with these cars that sound like what you are experiencing.  I have also seen bad cam sensors do the same thing and not register any Check engine lights or codes.  Have him check the fuel pump and the relay just to be safe.  Roger
