Volvo Repair: 2004 Volvo S80, extended warranty company, volvo dealer

Hello,
I would appreciate your opinion regarding the following;

First "REDUCED ENGINE POWER" code, with car "limping" then "SERVICE ENGINE NEEDED" very shortly afterwards. Had the car towed to a garage that I was sent to by the extended warranty company but the shop seems to be a small place and I am not sure if they will be able to diagnose the car properly. I bought the car just two weeks ago with 110,000 km from a friend who is a respectable car broker with all the proper checks and purchased  a very extensive warranty for 60,000/3 years that covers almost all on the car. So I thought I was safe but I am worried now - can this be properly fixed or will the car just give me headaches ? Drove a Honda for 13 years before, should I have stayed with it ?

Helena, better get the Tylenol out.  S80's are nothing but headaches.  I suggest having the car towed to a Volvo dealer.  Im sure the warranty company will comply.  About the Honda, Yes.  Cant go wrong in one of those. Vintage Volvos Yes. Newer Volvos, Not so much. Roger
