Volvo Repair: 2005 Volvo XC90 Seat Belt Tension, 2005 volvo xc90, volvo xc90

Question
The middle booster seat belt in our XC90 often locks or tensions so that the more you struggle the tighter the belt becomes.  The only way to release is to unlock the belt and allow the belt to wind up completely.  Our dealer mechanic says this is a common occurance but that it is not a "problem" that they can repair, i.e. we have to live with the situation.  I need a sanity check, am I getting the run around - is this a problem that we have to live with or can the "problem" be repaired?

Answer
Blair, Well, the vehicle is still under warranty if it has less than 50,00 miles so if the dealer wont help then Volvo Tech services needs to get involved.  If they think its not repairable then at least you made an attempt to find the answer. To me, that would be an annoyance and needs to be addressed.  Roger
