Volvo Repair: Volvo 240 Dash Light Troubles, volvo 240 dash, directional signals

Question
QUESTION: Hello, I have some strange things going on with my dash lights.
The car is a 1988 Volvo 240DL that I love dearly and has been very
dependable.
Problem is the only dash lights that come on lately are both the green arrows
for directional signals, the bright light indicator and the bulb out indicator.
Doing a visual check, I see no external lights out although one headlight
appears a little brighter than the other. Not sure where to begin to fix this
problem(s). Thank You-Chris

ANSWER: Chris, sounds like there is a circuit board issue going on.  Please explain better for me.  When you turn on the lights, those thing come on or what happens when you turn the key on? Roger

QUESTION: Roger, thanks for getting back to me. Yes, when I turn on the lights, that is what
I get from my instrument cluster: both green arrows, a bulb warning light and
my bright light indicator. It stays the same when the key is on.
This used to happen intermittently, now it's full time.

Answer
Chris, It definately has to do with either a loose connector or a circuit board issue.  I would take the cluster out and see if you can see the loose connector.  If all is okay, then its a circuit board issue that your Volvo Shop needs to take a look at.  Roger
