Volvo Repair: Volvo S80, volvo s80, cruise controls

A while ago I read on your website an answer you gave to someone about the
turn-signal wand not working.  Well, my turn signal wand does not work. In
addition, the computer controls on that wand do not work.  The radio and
cruise controls on the steering wheel do not work and neither does my head
light dial (the lights are stuck permanently on daytime running).  Oh and one
more thing, my windshield wipers only run at one speed!

Reading through your answers, I gather you do not like S80s.  However, mine
really has been a good car!!  The car was my moms and has 126,000 miles on
and she gave it to me this past year when my car got totaled.  I go to school
in Tallahassee and do not have a trusted mechanic up here, so any advice you
can give me I would greatly appreciate!

Sarah, No, I really dont car for the S80 much but I do agree there are some that are better than others.  You got lucky with this one.  Anyway, you need to reset the module for the turn signals.  basically you take the steering wheel shroud to access the connector to the module.  Should be 2 green connectors.  Unplug them for about 15 minutes, then replug them in.  Turn signals should work now.  Roger
