Volvo Repair: looking to buy an Volvo 850 -1996 - $2600, mag rims, timing belts

I was wondering if buying a 1996 850 at $2600
with 195K miles would be wise. The owner had to move off the island and was planning to return. He is not able to move back and now wants to sell the vehicle.
What's your opinion on this vehicle.

Notes: New Tires, battery, tune-up, ignition coil, starter, Registration just paid last month, mag rims, new radiator, BUT does need interior ceiling work and brakes have only 3mm left

Vee, its a good buy but remember its a used car and with the 850, lots of issues can go wrong whenever it feels like.  Brakes are no big deal if its pads.  a new headliner is about $250 bucks.  Timing belts a must at Every 70k miles.  A/C evaporators at $1000 bucks stinks but other than that, the car is a decent car.  Roger
