QUESTION: speedo not working right not reading correct speed off real bad

ANSWER: Do you have the OLD needle stlyle (anolog or the newer digital speedometer display ?.

Answer
Replace the speed sensor on top of the transmission on the passengers side in the engine compartment back near the firewall. Also check to make sure that the 2 wires are not shorted thru their insulation covering and grounding on some metal object.
