Volvo Repair: V90 Drivers Seat Frozen on Right Side, v90 drivers, side cable

Can you tell me how to remove/repair the driver's power seat to fix a problem where the right side cable does not seem to engage with the gear assembly?  I am unable to gain access to the rear bolts as the seat is too far back.  I was able to lift the seat by removing bolts between the seat and mechanical assembly, but not enough to have complete access to the gear housing.

Michael, you dont need to remove the seat for this repair.  Im assuming that the seat back is the culprit.  in the lower corner of the seat back and seat bottom is the plate that covers the cable. remove the screws and take the cable out.  remove the cable innerd. now heat up the silver end and pull it off the plastic tube. Cut off about 1/2 inch of plastic housing.  Heat up silver end and put back on the plastic housing.  put cable innerd back in.  Make sure it engages into the other side.  play with the switch to make sure its engaged. Put end back into seat.  seat back should come back up now.   Roger
