Volvo Repair: 1991 Volvo 240 heater core hose, brake master cylinder, razor blade

One of the two hoses leading into the heater core by the brake master cylinder has a leak.  Am I seeing it wrong or is the only way to replace this hose involve taking off the intake manifold?

No you don't have to remove the intake. Its just a tight squeeze.Wait until the engine is cool,You should be able to use a screwdriver and pry it off at the head, a razor blade is best to cut a slot on the end because they can get stuck on there pretty good.
