Volvo Repair: power window, mirror and sunroof., vovlvo, window mirror

I drive a 2000 vovlvo S70. All of a sudden the power roof or the power mirrors and the windows wont work at all. At night I notice the ilumination on the buttons for the windows wont light up on all four doors. Also when I press down on the driver window to make it go down it makes a noise, more or less like its clicking and nothing happens. What could it be and how cane I fix this?

Did they all fail at the same time?  If its clicking but not working be sure to check your power window/mirror/roof relay.  It sounds like a common problem so be sure to check all the fuses for those systems.  If none of that fixes the problem, try jumping power and ground to the motors to see if they work.  If they do, then power or ground is missing to the motor.  (open wire, failed switch, bad ground, etc.)  But since the lights on the switches don't work either thats why i say to check all their common points of power/ground first.  Hope this helps.
