Volvo Repair: 01 Volvo S60 light trouble, osram bulbs, bulb failure

Question
QUESTION: I recently purchased the S60, I love it. Only trouble is occasionally I will get a message that the right front blinker is having a bulb failure - randomly. Just had to replace the left low beam headlight a week ago and now my tag lights are out. Is this an electrical issue? What should I look into?
Thanks so much.

ANSWER: High bulb failure is one of the joys of owning these newer Volvos.Seems like one is going out all the time.replace them in pairs (left brake light goes out, replace the right brake light also)

QUESTION: I luckily know about replacing them in pairs..Or unluckily? So nothing major to be concerned with? (thankfully I might add!) What is the culprit for this issue likely to be since it seems to be so common? Thanks so very much!

Answer
There are so many bulbs, it just seems we are replacing the same ones all the time.If you are replacing the same bulb all the time then a culprit can be found...moisture or a bad socket maybe. I have experienced a bad alternator that burned all of the bulbs, that was once in twenty plus years of doing this though. Keep track of the bulbs, use Osram bulbs they are good quality. Don't mix manufacturers, it will only cause headaches in the future.I always kept track of my customers repair records,I can tell you everything that was ever done to a customers car (as long as they weren't sleeping around) Another cute phrase we use when a customer brings their car to other shops.
