Volvo Repair: volvo a/c problem, prybar, turbo wagon

Question
I have a 95 850 turbo wagon.  A/C blows cold when first starting for the day.  then goes warm, It seems like a limiter switch or something is telling the compressor to turn off.  everything else works great, blower etc.  just blows cold then not then cold again next day.  it has been doing this for months.  Please let me know if you are aware of a switch, solenoid, etc on condenser that needs to be replaced.  Thank You

Answer
Brandon, we see this happen at least once or twice a week.  Check refrigerant levels first.  When the compressor starts blowing warm, carefully tap the clutch with a prybar to see if it engages.  If that is the case, you have 2 choices.  Reshim the clutch or replace the compressor.  It may also be a temperamental pressure switch on the line by the firewall.  Roger
