Volvo Repair: Replacing spring, volvo 240 dl, 1989 volvo 240

Yes. my brother told me a spring needs to be replaced in the drive shaft. The car is a 1989 Volvo 240 DL. 2.3 liter.

Bruce, well, thats pretty easy to do but you may want to inspect the carrier rubber and bearing while you have it down.  Just remove 2 12mm bolts from the support and you may be able to replace the spring that way.  I personally remove the whole thing and just push it back up.  Roger
