Volvo Repair: obd/readiness, volvo v70 wagon, volvo v70

Question
i have a1999 volvo v70 wagon that will not pass the emissions inspection
because of obd/readiness.
they are telling me the catalytic converters, the oxygen sensors, and
evaporative system are specifically not ready. what is the procedure to get
these ready?
they say i need to go through a drive cycle but i can not find anything in my
owners manual that describes this. also the battery was drained  completely
recently and i recharged. could this be the cause? i did find a few things on
line about the drive cycle and it seem complicated. are there anything i can
do to target only those which are not ready?  any info would be greatly
appreciated. thanks

Answer
There is a schedule for that drive cycle. I don't have it anymore. Normal driving of the car for a couple of days, bring it up to highway speeds. Do some hard acceleration and quick stops. It is a complicated schedule and normal driving will fulfill it.
