Volvo Repair: Lamda Sond Emissions Light, fuel pump relay, exhaust emissions

I have just replaced the fuel pump relay on a UK 940 estate 2 litre injection and the exhaust emissions light has come on. how can I get it out or what has caused it to come on other than the previous starting problem caused by the relay

My experience with cars from the UK is minimal. But I'll give it a shot.The lambda sond light on the older models was triggered by a mechanichal timer. Every 30,000 miles it would illuminate and need to be reset.Check your owners manual maybe it's similar
