QUESTION: ok thanks. i just finished with the brakes and took it out for a text drive and the pulsating before seemed to have stopped except after about 10 min driving, the pulsating came back again. my abs and trac light have also been on since i bought the car. could it have to do with the ABS or is more likely that it is my rear brakes? if it is my ABS...how would i fix that?
ANSWER: Jessica, Did you replace the Rotors also or just the pads? Is the pulsation when you apply the brakes?  The ABS will most likely be the ABS control unit.  I would have a Volvo Shop scan the car. Roger

QUESTION: i replaced the rotors and the brake pads on the front only. yes the pulsation is when i apply the brakes. should i replace the rear rotors and brake pads?

Answer
Jessica, If you feel the vibration in the seat while braking or in the pedal then yes I would replace the rear rotors and pads.  I would also check to see if the front suspension is tight and check the roundness of the wheels.  They are prone to damage when hitting a pot hole.  Roger
