Volvo Repair: 1993 240 warning lights, service battery, warning lights

Question
Hello, my 93 240 wagons warning lights came on tonight (SERVICE, BATTERY, PARKING BREAK, WARNING) but there was no change in the operation of the car. At first they would go on when I hit cruising speed of 60km then go off when I started up from a light but after a while they remained on just dimming off and on. Any idea what it could be? Thanks in advance for you help.

Answer
Sounds like a charging system problem. Either the 61 wire (at the back of the alternator) or your voltage regulator (on the back of the alternator)Check that the 61 wire has a good connection and is insulated properly, remove the voltage regulator and check that the brushes aren't worn. Replace if necessary
