Volvo Repair: internal temp controls not working, volvo vadis, indicator lites

Question
QUESTION: Batt died completely recently - now a/c, heat, seat heaters, fan don't work.  Control panel indicator lites do not work.  I've been told it's the "temp or climate control module" On Mitchell's it shows 1.9 hrs labor. The part seems REALLY expensive! Can I get a pulled part?  Is it something I can install myself with schematics?  Where can I get those 2?
ANSWER: Joseph, Im assuming this is a late model Volvo since you failed to tell me what the heck you are working on.  It wont do you anygood to put the part in without the download from the dealer.

QUESTION: Sorry about that - 01 Volvo S-60 2.4 turbo  I'm aware of the dealer download,
I have a friend at the Volvo dealer here who will do that for me.  I need to
know about the part, availability, and a schematic or some kind of
instructions as to where the heck it is, and how hard it is to replace.  When I
have looked on-line the "climate control module" is something related to
temp sensors and such, not the actual inside-the-cabin works.  I don't need
to replace the thermostat or the radiator, or blower, dryer, evap core or any
of that.

Answer
Joseph, Its the whole control head that needs to be replaced.  Its the only thing that I have seen fail on these systems. They are kind of a pain to get out.  I use the Volvo VADIS for instructions.  Its been a while since Ive had to do one.  I'll have to look it up and get back to you.  Roger
