Volvo Repair: rear seat release in volvo 740 wagon, volvo 740, release button

The rear seat in my 740 wagon will not go down.  The dealer said it is the release button that needs to be replaced.  In order to remove the plastic housing cover I have to get the seat in the down position to get at the screws.  Any advice on how I can manually release the seat would be appreciated

Also, I assume that once I have it open there is a cable or spring that attaches to the new release button.Any help would be appreciated

John, basically they suck to do .  I cant remember if you need to put the seat down to do it.  See if the cover up top pops out so you can at least access it.  Its been so long since Ive done one, Id have to relook at it to remember how I did it.  Roger
