Volvo Repair: 2002 Volvo S60 over voltage light, volvo dealer, volvo s60

Tonight my over voltage indicator came on and also the abs and brake light came on briefly. The battery indicator and over voltage message wont go away. I have turned the car off and can start it but after a few minutes the light comes back on and the message and fan kicks on. Just wondering if you have seen this before i live about 60 miles from my nearest Volvo dealer and none of the dealers near me will service the vehicle as they do not have the OBD 2 updates for the car. Even the Ford dealer whom i bought it from says take it to the Volvo dealer we will work out the warranty with them?? HELP

Lee, Call the dealer or the Volvo on call number and they will come get the car for free.  This is an electrical issue that needs to be addressed.  I hope you still have a warranty or extended warranty.  Sounds like an alternator or voltage regulator issue.  Roger
