Volvo Repair: 2003 Volvo S60 2.5T AWD Qs, manual crib sheet, tracs system

Question
Thank you beforehand for answerring my questions. I will try to keep them precise, short, and clear. The car has 55K miles, no readings for any problems, I've just bught the car, the tires are bad (10% front, 20% rear left), air filter is bad, possibly rotors/pads are bad.
Q1. There is a rough, non-smooth noise coming from upfront of the car while driving only. The driving is rough, not as I've expected. Some sort of small vibration also. The sound is like the engine (or turbo, or tires??) is not smooth, reving. At 35 m/h, or at 65 m/h. I've thought the ride would be "quiter" and less "noisy". In parking, the engine sounds great and quite. Tires, balancing, alignment, any ideas?
Q2. Is there a way for the dealeship to find out if the car has either DSTC or TRACs system? If I look at the official packages for 2003 models (Climate, Premium, Touring, etc.), the car is supposed to have DSTC as part of Premium package. But I don't know if it has DSTC or just TRACs. Please help.
Q3. Tramsmission fluid. A non-dealer mechanic looked briefly and told me that the trans fluid needs to be replaced. At the dealership, they told me that the trans fluid does not go bad at 55K mi. But they've never checked it yet. f it does need replacement, do you recommend a flush also?
Q4. According to the dealership maintenace manual "crib-sheet", till 105K mi there are no major maintenance replacements/changes (just air filters, spark plugs, brake fluid, etc.). No fuel filter, no coolant flush, no trans fluid flush, no other fluids replacements, etc. It sounds too goood to be true. Is it really so? Please confirm.
Q5 (limit). Do AWD "items" as propeller shaft, pilot bearing, universal joints, and bavel gear go bad, and when, and at what circumstances? Please advise.
Thank you again. I will be back soon. Alex.

Answer
Alex, Q1, sounds like a motor mount or a wheel bearing.  This would need to be investigated further. Q2, There will be a button for the DSTC on the dash.  If not then you can read it off the ABS control unit.  Q3, If you do a Transmission service, be sure to use Synthetic.  The service interval is 105 k but that is ridiculous.  I wouldnt flush it.  Q4, I dont agree with Volvo's services.  Coolant should be done at 30K, Fuel filter(if equipped) every 60k.  No flushing of anything is needed if you stay with the services.  Q5, AWD drive gears and driveshaft tend to wear out over the years.  When?  Who knows.  When it goes it goes.  Roger
