Volvo Repair: 1995 940 Front right signal light, new brunwick, proper diagnosis

Question
Hi
My uncle just cave me a 1995 490 Turbo!!! Great car!! But then I started to change all the lights and when I changed the front right signal light, it wouldn’t go on any more... so to check if it was the light, I took the left holder with the left bulb in it (which works perfectly) and put it in the right socket and it wouldn’t light up. Then I took the right holder with the right bulb in it and put it in the left socket and it worked perfectly. So I’m guessing it’s the wiring on the right signal light socket ...but what I don’t get, is that it was working fine before I changed the light...Can you help me out?

--Last question! The car was in Florida and he sent it all the way up to New-Brunwick!! And now the car shakes a bit so we changed the wires the roater and the cap in the back of the motor
and its still shaking...Do you think its because of the cold? Because when the motor is hot it shakes a lot less?

Answer
CHECK THE TERMOINALS IN THE CONNECTOR THAT CONNECT TO THE LIGHT MAYBE THEY ARE BURNT,CORRODED OR BENT.

AS FOR THE SHAKING IT COULD BE MANY THINGS AND SHOULD BE LOOKED AT FOR A PROPER DIAGNOSIS.i WOULD TRY SOME FUEL ADDITIVE THAT CLEANS INJECTORS AND INTAKE VALVES.I WOULD TRY THIS ON AFEW TAKES OF GAS
