Volvo Repair: 1994 Volvo 850 Non-Turbo, obd ii connector, diagnostic connector

Can't seem to reset the check engine light on this vehicle. All articles on this vehicle show that the OBD II connector is located near the shifter, but it is not there.

Using the on-board diagnostic connector at the engine compartment - using A diagnostic box - I have had no luck resetting the light, any help at this please.

Aki, you have to read the codes first.  Put probe into pos 2 and hit button for 10 seconds.  Read codes.  Repeat until same code comes up.  Now hold button again for 10 seconds.  Light should clear.  Do this in pos 6 also.  Key has to be turned on.  Roger
