Volvo Repair: 1992 Volvo 240 running warm, coolant temperature sensor, head gasket leak

Question
I have replaced the following parts on my 1992 Volvo 240 and it still runs above normal and sometimes gets hot, this does not happen all the time: radiator, water pump, fan clutch, thermostat, and belts. I was thinking maybe it's the coolant temperature sensor, but I'm not sure. The coolant temperature needle runs above the halfway point. Any help would be appreciated.

Answer
IF IT DOES IT RANDOMLY EVEN WHEN YOU NOT THE TEMP. IS NOT THAT HIGH I WOULD SUSPECT TEMPERATURE COMPENSATING BOARD IN INSTGRUMENT CLUSTER.IF IT HAPPENS AT HIGHWAY SPEED IT COULD BE SLIGHT HEAD GASKET LEAK.IF AT IDLE THERE COULD BE A RESTRICTION IN THE COOLING SYSTEM OR THE CONDESOR INFRONT OF THE RADIATOR IS CLOGGED WITH BUGS AND DIRTY CAUSING AIR FLOW PROBLEM
