Volvo Repair: P1070 code on 98 S70GLT, barometric pressure sensor, genuine volvo

Question
Yes the sensor is genuine Volvo (Bosch).  The scanner is a generic reader named Accuscan (I think).  I have been following all of the other sensor wiring unplugging and reseating all of the connectors with the thought that since all of these are somewhat linked together they can create false codes.
Afterwards, I reset the ECU by pulling the fuse and now I get a P0444 (EVAP sensor low signal).  I guess I will try to run this one down.
Any other thoughts?

Question -
I keep tripping a P1070 code (barometric pressure sensor) on my '98 S70 GLT.  I have replaced both the barometric pressure sensor and the IAT sensor to no avail.  I have been unable to locate any faulty wiring or grounds etc.  Any other suggestions?

Reb. you must of gotten a bad sensor.  Are you using genuine Volvo parts and is that scanner of yours Volvo Compatible?  In what location are you changing the baro sensor?  Roger

Answer
Reb, Thats the problem with those generic sensors.  Everything is so vague.  Theres 2 Evap sensors but one is called the canister valve so its hard to know what the problem is.  My suggestion is to find a Volvo shop that has the real diagnostic equipment instead of you having to replace parts.  Roger
