Volvo Repair: broke tilt/telescope lever on steering column, v70 t5, steering wheel

Question
vehicle is a 2001 V70 T5.
I applied too much pressure when trying to lock steering wheel in place after making an adjustment.
I imagine the lever is just a locking cam - if I buy the part can I fix this easily myself or do I need to do major disassembly or worry about airbags etc.?
Many thanks.
Patrick

Answer
No major removals are required.  You can buy just the lever and just push it on.  You will however have to unbolt the steering column and pull it down and forward as much as you can to get access to it.  4 bolts hold it up.  No need to unbolt the column from the rack.  It isn't too difficult, its just akward trying to hold the column in your lap while you do the repair.
