Volvo Repair: ecc sensor on 1998 c70, steering wheel, c70

where is the ecc sensor located so I can clean it out? what's the best way to do this?

Answer
The ecc temp sensor I assume you are talking about?  It is on the dashboard, to the right of the steering wheel.  Where the convertable top switch is located (or sunroof switch if it is a coupe) you will see a dummy switch location with a grille.  If you pull it out with a small hook it is right there.  That is the opening for it and the only real place you can clean out.
