Volvo Repair: ABS\STC light issue & light wiper, s80 t6, abs sensor

Question
Thanks for your help with the sunroof issue!!

Problem #1
My Car was in the shop today for an ABS issue. They replaced (under warranty) the ABS control module a few weeks ago but it did not fix the problem so they have the rear left sensor ? on order. The lights are on intermittenly so they have had a hard time getting a solid problem. I know there the 99 S80 t6 has a bad rap, which is why I made a point to purchase an extended warranty. Are you familiar with this ABS issue? Other than the lights coming on every now and then, the only noticable driving issue is every now and then when lightly applying the break (or sometimes turning a corner again lightly using the break) I hear a almost grinding vibrate feel & noise. The breaks 'seem' to work fine otherwise. I am hoping that they have found the problem and with this new part on order it will resolve. Any thoughts?

Problem #2
When I bought the car about a month ago I paid to have it inspected before buying it as well as the warranty. They discovered about 2000.00 worth of things needing to be done before the warranty could be purchased. The seller agreed to knock that amount off the purchase price and I had the work done. One of the repairs ordered was a headlight wiper motor. When it was in the shop to be fixed, the tech told me when I picked it up that the motor was working at that time so they didn't replace it. I asked if it were to go out later on if it would be covered by the warranty and she said "I don't see why not". So of course here I am about a month later and that wiper is stuck straight up and down. I intend to bring it to her attention when I take it back in for the ABS sensor but my question is, if it won't for some reason be covered by the warranty is there any reason that those can't just be disconnected? I have been driving for 17 years with out wipers on my headlights and never noticed a problem. Is there a way to get the wiper to lay down to resting position and disconntect both of the motors?

Thank you

Answer
#1 The part they ordered will most likely fix the car.  Usually the ABS module fails, but everyonce in a while it is avtually a sensor.  The brakes are most likely aftermarket brake pads or rotors.  Volvo rotors cannot be resurfaced or they will warp giving a pulsing feeling.  And most aftermarket brake pads have kind of a grinding noise when the brakes are applied.  The only way to fix it is to have the pads/rotors replaced with factory originals.

#2 They can be disconnected but the wires are hard to get to.  They are behind the bumper.  Not just the bumper cover, but the actual bumper.  If you want them to disconnect them they can (and re-level the wiper blade) but they will most likely charge you for their time to get to the connector (unless they decide to just cut the wires instead).
