Volvo Repair: 99 v70 bad abs causing engine stall?, engine stall, abs light

My 99 v70 beginning about a month ago I would feel vibration and the abs light would come on during braking.Now light is on all the time and I still feel vibration.This morning the car stalled out on me in traffic during stops.It started right back up,but,I had to press the gas and the brake to keep it running.Is my abs causing this? Can I disconnect the abs?

Cindy, in a word,  No.  Vibrations are usually Brake rotors.  The ABS has a control unit that goes bad.  On the 99 models there is a factory recall on the throtle bodies.  This will be repaired free of charge to you at the dealership.  I would call them and get that handled.  Roger
