Volvo Repair: Hard Start and Engine Vibration, engine vibration, keyless entry system

Question
I have a 2000 Volvo S40 1.9L Turbo that I inherited.

Problems include a Bad engine vibration at idle.  Once the car gets going, it's gone.  I've been told that it's the upper engine mount but not sure.  The vibration is so bad that it shakes most of the interior.  Any ideas?

Second, the car has a hard start.  It takes about 3-5 seconds for the engine to finally turn.  I'm sure it could be a number of things, I just do not know what it could be.  And i'm pretty sure that a 2000 should not be performing this way.

Third, the keyless entry system works great but when I hold down the panic button on the remote, or even lock the car all of the lights flash but no horn honk.  But the horn from the steering wheel works fine.

And lastly (for now) I have a warning light constantly on that says one of my tail lights are out, however, none of them are.  All lights are working and the warning light only comes on when I apply the brake, and then it stays on until the car is turned off.  I know a light was recently replaced and I was told that I may need to just have the light reset.

Hope you can help with any of these questions.
Thanks in advance

Answer
Rob, number one, the S40 is known for crappy motor mounts.  Do them all and save a headache.  number 2 that really is not considered a hard start.  3-5 seconds is pefectly normal for that car.  If you want piece of mind, have the car scanned at the dealer.  The keyless doesnt honk the horn when you close it.  Thats not how Volvo has its keyless systems.  Lastly, Change all the brake bulbs.  They may all look like they are working but the element isnt giving the reading the sender wants.  Whoever is telling you things needs to just leave it to the people that work on these cars on a daily basis.  Good day.  Roger
