Volvo Repair: 940 se turbo wagon ignition problem, power stage, self diagnostics

I dont believe the power stage module/amplifier/ignition module is working. I replaced it with a new one but still no spark at the plugs. I get 12 vdc at the coil and the module but no spark. There are no fault codes on the self diagnostics (3 blinks 1 sec apart) which means no problems.....
 Starter ingages motor turns over, gas at the fuel injectors........no spark.
   My ignition switch was replaced or bypassed with a button under the dash....so the starter will ingage without the key even being on.

Mark, why the heck would anybody bypass your ignition?  What brand of power stage did you buy.  BOSCH only.  Anything else is junk.  Are you gettin oscillation while the car is turned over?  did you check if the timing belt is broken?  I need to know what you have done to rule out things.  Roger
