Volvo Repair: C70 Flashing Arrow, volvo c70 t5, mode selector switch

I recently purchased a Volvo C70 T5 Auto Coupe. On regular but intermittant occasions the ABS Light comes on with the Brake warning light together and sometimes the Traction control light. Then a few seconds later the speedo cuts out. Also the Flashing Arrow comes on also periodically and then disappears just as randomly. Please could you give your opinion on this. Thanks.

Marc, 2 different problems.  The abs and tracs usually is the ABS control unit starting to go.  The flashing arrow will be the mode selector switch and PNP switch on the transmission.  The Speedo is another issue.  Could be the sensor or the actual head itself but I have seen that after you replace the ABS unit, the speedos are fine.  Roger
