Volvo Repair: Volvo 03 S60 Cruise Control, cruise control, single system

Question
How is it possible that when setting the cruise control it sets the horn off?  Adding to this the cruise control still won't work.  M/M Volvo 03 S60.

Yes it is very possible for a wiring problem to occur without anyone messing with them previously.  I have seen so many of those its almost scary.  At least your problem is contained to a small area and affects only 1-2 systems.  When you have a short on a network wire it causes just about every single system in the car to act strangly without any indication of where the problem is.
