Volvo Repair: 1999 Volvo S80 Engine Service Urgent, volvo s80, 1999 volvo s80

I just had the oil change and now I have a problem when I go to accelerate, the car acts like it went dead take the foot off the gas and reapply and it will start going.  Now
I get a car that will barely run and the Engine System service urgent message displays.  The check engine light stays light all the time now.

What causes this?

Jim, There is a Recall on these cars.  More than likely its going to be the throtle unit.  You should have gotten a letter from Volvo, if not, make an appt with your dealer and they will replace it under the recall.  They will still have to scan it but Im sure thats what it will be.  Everything on that thing has to be hooked up to the computer.  Roger
