Volvo Repair: OBD II code - P2112 (TAC stuck closed), obd ii code, best bet

Hi James, I hope you might be able to help me out.
I would appreciate any help. I recently got a service engine light that came on, and the code was P2112, which I think is a "TAC stuck closed" message, the problem is I don't know what a TAC is or what the problem is. Could you help me out? Thanks!

Well I'm not familiar with that code.  The OBD generic codes are not what we go by in the dealer.  Our scanner is PC based that reads all the codes per module and prints them as such (ex. ECM-4308, TCM-0010, SWM-3800, etc.).  Also all P codes higer than 1000 are manufacturer specific and as such have no reference material readily available.  TAC isn't any type of manufacturer acronym used to describe a component so I'm not sure what its talking about.  Your best bet is going to the dealer and getting a code list from them.  It may cost 1hr of flat rate to get it but the should also be able to tell you what has failed for no additional cost.  If at that point you'd like more information on how to replace that component I would be more than happy to help.  Also in the future be sure to include what model and year.
