Volvo Repair: trans., borg warner transmission, rear brakes

Question
Hello.
I purchased last year 1994 Volvo 850 turbo for my wife. Just 56.000 milles.
The prviosly owner made only basic maintenance service.
Perfect car. I replaced the front and rear brakes, oil and my wife she made only 4500 mile and parked for winter. This is year I would like to replaced the transmission fluid. I found that dealer ask almost $ 200.00 for the service.
Any advice, suggestions?
I can't purchase any gasket and filter. I replased before on Mercedes, Audis, BMW's.I never have any problems to replaced on those cars. But I never heard that you can't purchase a kit for the transmission for Volvo.
The trans. is made by Yamaha?
Any advise?
Mark
Thank you again.

Answer
Mark, 200 bucks is ridiculous.  Its basically a drain and fill.  Remove the plug and drain the transmission fluid.  With 56,000 it shouldnt be real bad.  They were probably wanting to charge you for a flushing service.  No, Its an Aisian/warner or borg warner transmission.    There is no kit/gasket because its a sealed unit.  Only drain and fill.  Roger
