Volvo Repair: 1995 850 se 2.5L, flash flash flash, socket 6

Question
Have a 1995 850 se 2.5L volvo with no spark. was started and driven (cold) approx 3 metres when it cut out. Checked for spark and found none to be present, noticed coil looked like it had been arcing, borrowed a new coil and ignition module as a test, but no luck. Next theory is the flywheel pickup, how can i test this and or extract codes? what code would i expect to get if this is the problem. any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Answer
sounds like a bad engine speed sensor.behind passenger headlight is 2 boxes 1 marked A and one B remove cover and look for box A place wire from box in socket 2 and turn key to position2 thenpress the button on the box 1 second this will then flash a code back throught the red led.it will be a 3 digit code such as 121.will look like flash......flash..flash......flash.small pause between flash for a single digit long pause between numbers. do this for the socket 6 on BOX A.a 214 from socket 6 is a bad engine speed sensor.
