Volvo Repair: Volvo 240, volvo 240 dl, fuel pressure regulator

1990 Volvo 240 DL

My mechanic did rear main oil seal repair. Car doesnt leak anymore BUT when he starts car it starts up ok. If you give car gas it DIES ! What could be wrong ? Flywheel setting ?

  Hi Tom...
         2 items come to mind...Air mass meter.....fuel filter...if it was crank angle sensor...it wouldn't start.

I'm almost 100% sure that the flywheel only goes on in one bolt pattern only...
   remove the connector from the air mass meter...see if it runs better...if so....there's your problem....

    fuel pressure regulator...hmmmm
