Volvo Repair: volvo door lock, central locks, alloy wheels

Thanks Patrick!  We don't have that "special edition" type. We have the plain old 240 so it sounds like the central lock does indeed only work from the driver's side.  I appreciate your time and input.  Peter

Patrick- I have a '93 Volvo 240. As you know we can lock all 4 doors by locking the driver's door. Should we also be able to lock all 4 doors by locking the front passenger's door?  I think the central locking only works from the driver's door but my wife swears we've previously been able to lock all 4 by locking the front passenger's door.  So she thinks it's now broken.  Thanks very much.

Hello Peter,  The central locks worked only from the drivers door up until the 850 series arrived,model year'93 in the US. market.However we're not off the hook yet,the '93 'special edition'model arrived.It had the serial # on the dash and multi-spoked alloy wheels.Iam researching.There wree only 5/7 k produced.Do you Have this type?   Thank you<will keep hunting.  PKD

Hello Peter,  Thanks again and I hope your Good Wife Took the news well,and you didn't need to activate the'..For better or for worst' clause!Oh and also.. none of the other models work from the pass.sd. ,the 2k S-70 doesn't even have a key access port.
