Volvo Repair: 97 850 Volvo GLT no passenger side heat, volvo glt, ac system

I can't tell whether this posting to the Volvo board or not.  Be please free to answer it there if so.

The header says it all.  Driver's side heat works fine (warm air at the vents).  Passenger side blows what feels like ambient air except when AC system set to recirculate.  I had the condensor replaced last summer, so the dash was out, but I had no reason to run the heater until recently.  Have tried both manual and climate control settings.  Defroster also blows cold air on the passenger side.

Any suggestions?  Many thanks in advance!

Your most liekely cause is that when it was apart for the evaporator (probably what you meant to say, the condensor is on the front of the car in front of the radiator).  Was most likely messed up by the shop that did the work.  Something ould be lodged in there or you could have a motor or wiring failure.  Could be either one.  My suggestion would be to take it back to the shop that did the work, explain to them that you just turned the temp knob for the first time (cause you hadn't needed to til now) and it doesn't work.  If they are a good shop that wants to keep your buisness they should at least look again to determine if it was their fault or not and let you know whats going on and possibly fix it for free.  The grumpier you are the more likely you are to get results, the bitchy customers always get special treatment.
