Volvo Repair: 2002 S80 Headlight, rear fog lights, fog light switch

Thanks.  It does have rivets in the wheel well.  I will leave it to the dealer.  While discussing headlights, can you explain what the different bulbs are?  The inner is low/high beam, and in the marker there is an amber bulb (I guess turn signal?) and a very low intensity white bulb (city lights?) Also, my rear seems very dim at night.  The only things lit are the bottom strip on the tail light.  Can you tell me what should be lit front and rear during each selection on the headlight knob?

Question -
My headlight lense cracked (several places).  It is the driver's side.  Is it something simple to replace?  I have heard that you need to drop the bumper.  If so, is it true that you have to drill out rivets and re-attach the bumper cover with new rivets?

You will have to drop the bumper but it is very easy to do.  Most of the clips are on the top around the grill and the outside.  If there are any rivets they will need to be drilled out.  Some of those cars have them some don't.  I haven't done one in a while and I couldn't say whether your year has them or not.  If so they would most likely be where the bumper meets the inner wheel well, and even then it would only be on per side.  with everthing unbolted, it comes off very easily just pull forward.  Uses a lot of slides and clips so you'll have to pull it off, it won't just fall off once the bolts have been removed.  Hope that helps.

In the front there is a High beam low beam, a daytime running light, and a turn signal.  Three bulbs 2 H7 (headlights) and one amber bulb (turn signal).  In the back there are two rows of red, i can't remember which is where but there is a daytime running lights (same thing as marker lights when headlights on), turn signal/stop lights, and rear fog lights.  The rear fog lights are the same bulbs as the marker lights I believe but use the brighter filiment.  The rear fog light switch is on the dash near the light switch.
