Volvo Repair: S70 Electrical problems, fog light, turn signals

Question
Hello James! My wife drives a 1999 S70 that is having some strange electrical issues: Last week, her headlights, turn signals, (backup?) and seat heater quit working. I checked fuses, found nothing wrong and they worked after that...till next morning when SHE started the car. No headlights and turn signals.

Now, after doing nothing, those work and the rear parking lights do not work. [Recap: headlights, turn signals, backups, seat heaters all work today].

I've check the bulbs, they're OK. The only light consistently working in the rear is the left "fog" light. Brake lights, all 3, work when depressed.

One front parking light works, the other does not. Both front turn signals work...both bulbs (all four filaments) are fine. Side lights both flash with turns. Bulb indicator on dash is illuminated.

As my wife likes to have the headlights on all the time, I thought the headlight switch may have corroded contacts from lack of movement. I cycled it a bunch--no change.

I've checked for faulty contacts at the ignition switch (without taking it appart and cleaning) by cycling it, too.

We've just experienced a couple weeks of rain so dampness/corrosion may be a consideration. Still, pretty weird. Any ideas?

Answer
That is pretty weird.  I'll have to double check on a wiring diagram to look for any commonalities between those symtoms.  Once i find something I'll let you know what to look for.  Just with this information though it sounds like a loose ground/power/connector.  I'll next be at work to do the research for you on monday.  Expect to hear from me that afternoon.
