Volvo Repair: Volvo 240 W/ Cracked Head, radiator hose, volvo 240

Question
My '87 volvo 240 broke down recently, after overheating due to
a loose radiator hose. I think I might have cracked the cylinder
head. There is a lot of water in the oil, and when I had it towed,
a lot of water came out of the tailpipe. My question is, is this the
only possible explanation, and how much to fix? I only paid
$1800 for the car, so is it worth fixing? Thanks!

Answer
more than likely the head is warped which may be able to be cut and salvaged.it would also need a valve job though and the valves adjusted after installing the head.you will not know until it is taken apart and asent to a machine shop and checked for cracks and warpage.repair I guess about 1500 dollars if head is salvagable.
