Volvo Repair: 99 volvo v70 T5 trans problem, volvo v70 t5, volvo code

I have replaced the trans with a used trans due to internal failure. I now have a code problem that i can not get rid of, the code is a P0717.  the scanner tells me that it is a input/turbine speed sensor A circuit no signal. I need help on finding out how to go about testing this symptom and where to start with the repair.

I am not familiar with the generic codes.if I was guessing I would say this code is for the VSS sensor.I would check for codes in the ABS control unit also.I have a feeling it may be a bad ABS  control unit.I will have to try to cross reference that code to what it means as a volvo code.
