Volvo Repair: will crank but not start, volvo 240 dl, mass air flow

Question
1984 Volvo 240 DL, fuel injection.

Died while driving and will not restart. Engine cranks normally, sounds fine, but will not start. Removed wire from coil to distributor and can see a spark. Worked on it for several hours over the weekend and the car did start one time, but only once. Have not checked for spark at the plugs. What else should I check? Am I on the right track. Fuel pump? (Probably not related, but I recently replaced the mass air flow stuff.) Thanks very much.

Answer
it could be a problem with the fuel system since there is spark.I would check the fuses for corossion or being broken sometimes they are cracked and you will not see it til you try to remove the fuse.if the fuse is ok the it will need to be checked with a test light to find the exact cause of the problem.
