Volvo Repair: Replacing radiator, ring seals, side ac

Question
Hi Phil! I need to replace the radiator on my 1998 V90. Anything I need to worry about before doing it myself? Is the fan tough to get off and should I take that off before lifting out the radiator? Also A/C does not get cold and I can hear the compressor coming on & off and making a clicking noise. Any ideas? Thanks for the good advice!

Answer
I haven't done a V90 but it should be like the others. Fan and shroud usually comes off as unit. Radiator should slide right up and out. Check underneath and remove any screws or clips that may be secured to radiator. Drain should be underneath on driver's side?

AC clicking on and off is normal cycling but if too frequent, means there is a leak in system and the system is low. Recommend going to shop to check repair and recharge. Leaks usually just o-ring seals, unless car has been in accident.
