Volvo Repair: power windows, fuse holder, fuse box

Question
My windows just stopped working this morning. I checked the fuse it was fine then I put a meter on each side of the fuse holder. There is no power to the fuse box. it's a 1986 240GL.

I would check the connections at the battery especially the smaller red wires on the positive side.I would also try wiggling the ignition switch and see if power comes back this would indicate a bad ignition switch.if this is ok then you would need to fault trace the electrical system with a wiring diagram to find the fault.
