Volvo Repair: funky monkey, flame trap, fuel pump relay

Hi Regis,
Here is the sitch , I was driving down the road and to no avail my 87 240 died, without a stuter or spark, since then the car does start for a second if you let it sit for ten minutes, the relay under the passenger side seet does click when attempting to start, thinking towards fuel system? it does have rebuilt injecters, flame trap clean, new pressure regulater, and so forth any suggestions woud be greatly appreaciated

when it does not start I would check for spark at the spark plugs if spark is ok I would check the fuses in the fuse panel for corrosion.then check the fuse near the battery for being dirty or corroded if it looks bad replace the fuse and the holder.if this all check ok then most common would be a bad fuel pump relay which you could try.this is located behind the felt panle under the passengers side of the dashboard.
